Most awesome!!!
First off, there is a link on the right to my photo album which contains some pics of my yard and garden. I would have added more but for some reason the selected photos will not add to the albums. I'm too tired to figure it out today but will try again when I'm rested. Hope you like the photos!!
Work was closed this week for annual "cleanup" so it seemed like a great time for hub and I to have a small vacation. We both took Wednesday through the rest of the week off. Wednesday we went to Kirksville, Missouri for the day. Our first visit there since moving here! We went to Home Depot and had a great time getting prices and ideas for future projects we need to do. Then we went to the Super WalMart. No big thing there! I am so used to the smaller size one that I forgot how big they are. While wandering the store, I met a lady in the canning/freezing aisle. She was looking for jars and I was looking for the canner. We got to talking about pickles and she gave me her phone number so I could call for two pickle recipes she used. Well to make a long story short, I called, got the recipes and put my first batch of pickles up and they turned out awesome! Thursday I put up strawberry jam and bread & butter pickles. Today I put up tomatoes. The final count was 4 cases of food. It has been a busy week and I'm wiped out but a productive one!

I had a partial jar of the pickles so we had them with dinner last night and they were really good! The jam turned out super! The tomatoes will be great for chili and soups this winter, if they make it that long!!
Yya, so glad you and your husband took a little vacation. :)
