Hope everyone has had a really great weekend. We were busy this weekend with outdoor projects and stuff. We painted and hung a new fascia board on the front of the garage. That was a real trip for me trying to hang on to the ladder and the board and hold it in place so my hub could get it nailed in. The bees were flying all over the place and finally one stung my hub on the hand. Fortunately he is not too affected by them. Just some mild swelling and very little pain. A antihistamine works pretty good. We finished up the job this morning.

Have great news. I have started a new blog on Wordpress this weekend. I have already moved my dad's poetry over to it. The really great thing is that I got some of my family photos posted now too! I have been trying to find a way to incorporate my family history, photos and everyday stuff on to one site and I think I finally found it. Here is a link to the new site:

I love your new wordpress blog. It's so nostalgic and pleasant. Your Dad's poetry was just a feast of the soul. I got such a delightful chuckle of heart reading "Will you love me when I’m Old?" it's just a peach of a poem. lol I suspect that your Dad was quite a character. It's ashame that you couldn't spend more time together, but it's a blessing you shared so many years of phone conversation.
I visited your flickr site too. Your Dad was quite the handsome fellow. I enjoy looking at the photos of the generations past. I got a chuckle out of Victor's picture. Was he a dapper fellow or what? lol What do you suppose he was holding?

That's interesting about your cistern water level. That's also a blessing, I think, in case you ever need the water during a drought or something, it would be quite handy.
Your home's almost 100 years old. Wow now that's impressive. I think it would be really enjoyable to live in a place that's seen almost a century of history pass. Cool!
